Real Life Stem Cell Stories
These are real stories from real people who have already been waiting too long for the promise of stem cell research. Read them -- and then take action:
1) Tell your elected
officials to get rid of outdated policies and regulations that have already
held up stem cell research for too long; 2) Make a donation to StemPAC, and
help us spread the word. It's a grassroots movement, and we don't need much --
but any amount helps.

No one ever expects to hear "you have breast cancer" especially at the age of 40 certainly not my sister Lisa. Nor did she expect to find out that the cancer had metastasized finding its way to her spine, liver, and many of her bones. Since her diagnosis two years ago Lisa has undergone 2 surgeries to remove and repair several of her vertebrate in her cervical and thoracic spine. I have watched my adventurous sister go from climbing the Himalayan mountains and being a community activist to a person who lives in constant pain and struggles to walk two blocks to get a cup of coffee. Seeing Lisa and the millions of adults and children who suffer with Cancer, Diabetes, Parkinson's, etc. makes we want to do everything in my power to fight for stem cell research. I'm truly baffled as to why Bush does not support funding research that will help save people like my sister Lisa and the others who have shared their story on StemPac.
Throughout this painful experience, Lisa has shown amazing courage and strength and is determined to beat this disease so she can devote the rest of her life to doing what she does best - helping others. Lisa does not need a miracle to make this happen she needs STEM CELL RESEARCH NOW!
